Footrails |
|||||||||
Note - Screws included with fittings
Having one foot on an elevated rail is more comfortable than having both feet on the floor when standing at the bar in a restaurant or tavern enjoying a beverage. This is the reason that bars have foot rails. Our foot rail kits provides you with an easy and inexpensive way to add an attractive footrail to your bar, whether in your home or commercial establishment. Our brass tubing is .050" wall thickness, solid brass (not plated), mirror finish, light worked alloy 268 - (66% copper 34% zinc) These specifications meet or exceed almost all other brass suppliers. Our brass is an industry standard. The most popular foot rail bracket is the BR504 Combo Bracket. One leg of the bracket screws into the bar and the other leg rests on the floor. Brackets should be placed no more than 5 feet apart. The most frequently used finial (end) is the F205 End Cap, although more decorative finals such as F204 End Scrolls may also be used. |

What do I use to polish brass tubing? We recommend Flitz polish. It is the best polish that we have been able to find. It's what we at Crown Industries use. |
Crown Industries introduced the concept of footrail kits to the industry in order to simplify ordering foot rails in 2 ft to 20 ft lengths. The foot rail kits come with brass or chrome fittings and tubing, and contain BR504 Combo Brackets, F205 End Caps, A717 Splices and Tubing.
Splices: A717 Splices are 6 inch lengths of brass tubing with a longitudinal slit. The tube is compressed and inserted into the ends of the tubes to be joined. A bracket is used to cover the seam. More information. The internal splice doubles the wall thickness at the joint and is unconditionally guaranteed to strengthen the joint and to remain elastic.
We have designed the foot rail kits so that the shipping packages are not "Oversized," saving you substantially on shipping charges. For example, we ship the 8 ft kit with two 4 ft tubes and a splice rather than a single 8 ft tube.
Single lengths of tubes without splices may be ordered on our Tubing Page.
The maximum length of tubing that can be shipped via UPS is 8 feet 9 inches. Longer lengths must be shipped via truck. Trucking means incurring a sustantial minimum shipping charge ($70 - $150). The maximum length of 2" OD brass tube that can we stock is 16 feet.
Customizing your Foot rails.
Custom Foot rails Foot rails can be customized in several ways.
Example - Substitute F210 Engraved End Caps for F205 Flat End Caps
Step 1 Order a standard kit in the desired length
Step 2 Delete the 2 pcs F205 end caps from the shopping cart
Step 3 Add 2 pcs F210 Engraved End Caps using the easy order form custom fittings (of course you could choose another style finial instead)
Corners and "L"s
If you want the foot rail to wrap around the bar in an L or U configuration, you can not use our footrail kits, but must order the tubing on our Tubing page and also order the brackets and finials that you want. You can order the brackets and finils below
